Google WebM Development Specification for the hardware finish.

WebM camp battle between the H.264 codec is increasingly hot. One of the major weaknesses WebM party hardware is not a lot of customization to make WebM H.264 performance may be worse than many CPU models that can speed the process.

But today, the interval may begin to narrow because the original team On2 (acquired by Google) today announced the development of Specification. (And a blueprint) for a hardware decoder of the VP8 completed. Semiconductor manufacturers can connect to Google for use in their own hardware at all.

On2 expects the team really chip. Sales will begin in the first quarter of this year and in CES 2011, it began with a Chinese company Rockchip prototype chip show then.
